Property Tax Exemption

TX Tax Code §11.27

Texas law exempts solar energy systems from property taxes entirely. Installing a $25,000 system doesn't raise your annual tax bill by a single dollar. We file Form 50-123 on your behalf after installation.

Save $400–$600/yr in perpetuity

Oncor Solar+Storage Rebate

Up to $9,000 back

Oncor Electric Delivery customers can earn rebates when pairing solar with a qualifying battery storage system. Rebate amounts depend on system size and battery capacity. We handle all paperwork and submission.

Up to $9,000 one-time rebate

TXU Energy Solar Buyback

Retail-rate buyback

TXU Energy's Solar Buyback Plan pays you the same retail rate for excess power you send to the grid, not the low wholesale rate that many utilities offer. This significantly improves your payback period.

What About the 30% Federal Tax Credit?

The residential federal Investment Tax Credit (ITC) at 30% expired for new installations on January 1, 2026. If you installed solar before that date, you may still claim it on your 2025 taxes. For 2026 installations, Texas state and utility incentives are your primary tools - and they're substantial.

Commercial solar projects may still access federal incentives under separate provisions. See our Commercial Solar page.

We Handle All the Paperwork

From Form 50-123 to Oncor rebate submissions - we take care of every incentive filing so you don't have to.
